Gynecomastia Symptoms and Treatment

Gynecomastia, known as breast enlargement in men, is now eliminated by an aesthetic intervention. Breasts that grow for various reasons in men both invite a bad appearance and cause some health problems. Breast enlargement, which is generally caused by hormonal conditions, may also develop due to some medications used.

Causes of Gynecomastia

Many changes occur in the body during the adolescence of men. However, in the case of hormonal changes and frequent weight gain and loss, permanent size problems may occur in the breasts. In addition, genetic conditions, smoking, sedentary life, unhealthy diet, liver failure, decreased testosterone hormone, kidney failure and pituitary failure are among the causes of gynecomastia.

Some drugs can also cause gynecomastia. Muscle-building drugs and weight loss drugs, especially antidepressant drugs, can cause breast enlargement in men.

Symptoms of Gynecomastia

Some symptoms should be observed in men before gynecomastia surgery is performed. Breast enlargement may have a permanent effect on some men. Therefore, it is known that early diagnosis is always important. In addition, Gynecomastia symptoms;

  • Breast pain
  • Asymmetrical breasts
  • Breast tenderness
  • Swelling of the breast tissue
  • It is listed as nipple discharge.

Individuals can be diagnosed early after the Gynecomastia test is performed. With blood test, MRI, tissue biopsy and computed tomography, the degree of gynecomastia is determined and the treatment phase is started quickly.

Before Gynecomastia

Blood thinners, herbal supplements, alcohol and cigarette consumption should be discontinued until 1 week before the aesthetic operation. These situations are valid for all aesthetic operations. Because these factors that increase bleeding during the procedure will also delay the healing process.

How is Gynecomastia Done?

Before starting the aesthetic operation, the growth amount of the patient's breasts is determined. There is no sagging in the first stage of breast growth, which is observed with 3 different stages. In the second stage, there is a sagging and growing state. In the last phase, there is a tangible sagging and growth. Gynecomastia aesthetics should be performed quickly by intervening in patients at this stage.

In gynecomastia, which is applied to remove the fat tissue in the breasts, in contrast to the Breast Fat Injection procedure, an incision is made from the lower part of the breast head. With the removal of the chest glands, the procedure is completed. After this operation, which was completed in a short time, there is no pain process.

Post Gynecomastia

There are some situations that patients should pay attention to and know after the procedure. First of all, it is necessary to rest in a clinical environment for 1 or 2 days after gynecomastia aesthetics. Again, in the first days, there may be pain and aches that may continue with a mild course. Surgeons can control this process with prescription medications. No serious bruising or swelling is observed in patients within the first 10 days. Since possible complications will be intervened quickly, patients can transition to the healing process without encountering side effects.Returning to daily life is short after the operation. However, returning to business life will not be possible for the first 5 days. Since you will need to rest at home after the clinic, sports or light exercises should not be done for the first 15 days. Again, one should not enter the sauna and take a shower for 15 days.

The results of the surgery will reach a noticeable level from the 1st month. In order not to experience regrowth in the breasts, it should be adapted to healthy nutrition programs and irregular exercises should be done with the healing process.

There is no risk or side effect of gynecomastia. There may be bruising or swelling that can only be experienced after every plastic surgery. However, in such cases, necessary actions can be taken by adapting to the surgeon's recommendations. Therefore, gynecomastia aesthetics continues to offer a permanent solution to breast growth in men as one of the most preferred surgical applications of recent times.
