The Key to Getting Quality Breath: SEPTOPLASTY

Vitamin or herbal teas, any food supplements should be discontinued 1 week before surgery. ​

Postoperative Recovery Process:

Oral feeding is not started for 4-6 hours after the operation. Simple pain can be observed after the operation. Pain relievers recommended by the doctor can be used. Solid foods are not recommended on the first day after anesthesia. Liquid and warm foods are recommended.

During the recovery period, it is recommended to sleep on the back and with a high pillow. 

There may be crusting in the nose due to surgery and leaks. The doctor recommends nasal wash solutions for crusts. It is very important to follow the doctor's recommendations and not wash the nose by hand. If it is washed by hand, the nose may become infected.

• You should not blow your nose for 7-10 days. Your blowing may cause unwanted bleeding.
  
• In order to prevent excessive pressure in the nose and the risk of bleeding, you should keep your net open when you sneeze.
  
• You should stay away from heavy and intense exercises for the first month.
  
• Since hot baths can cause bleeding from the nose, a warm bath should be done. You should stay away from baths and saunas for a while.
  
• There is no harm in using glasses during the healing process.
